Radiation Protection Advisers / Radioactive Waste Advisers:
Stephen Green – Director
Steve originally trained as a diagnostic radiographer (qualifying in 1980) and worked at the Norfolk and Norwich and other hospitals in that role until 2002. During that time he became a clinical teacher in the school of radiography at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, and joined the staff at the Suffolk College, Ipswich, when the two schools amalgamated to provide the radiography degree qualification. His interest in radiation developed during this period, where he was encouraged to go back to University and became a fully certificated Radiation Protection Adviser in 2005 (and also added the Radioactive waste adviser certification this year) to allow him to work independently as a Chartered Radiation Protection Professional and educator within this field.
Dr Sarah Dorling joined us in July 2013 and is now fully certificated as a Radiation Protection Adviser and Radioactive Waste Adviser. Sarah has a background in research biochemistry and in consequence has a lot of practical experience in the use of open sources. Also for 3 years before joining us, Sarah was a practice manager for a group of veterinary practices and during that time gained experience in the application and administrative compliance of the regulations related to the use of x-rays.
